"Baller on a BUDGET"
Style tip of the day: 2.8.2017 "Baller on a budget"
So this entry is going to answer two inquiries for you guys. I actually received multiple requests on the same topic and I am glad to do this topic because I have done this all the time. In fact I still do it to this day.. Heck I don’t mind teaching others how to do it too.. So, what are we waiting for? Let's get to it!
"baller on a budget" is one of the option I actually give clients when they come in to complete a consultation. The reason that I even created that category is because I noticed that many people feel the same way that I do. For 1, I want the best bang for my buck $. Then, 2 that I I like to shop like a baller on a budget. Meaning that you expect your final look to present wealth and fine things. Even if that’s not a fact that your bank account can support. Well I have some very good and easy tips for you to find the best items for the potentially the lowest cost.
1) Shop in and out of season. The key with this is that you have to keep an eye on your favorite stores or the stores that you frequent, A LOT! You have to watch them and their inventory and many people can't find the deals because they don’t want them bad enough to where they will do the work that it takes. Often times stores don’t know until the morning of a SALE that they are even going to have a sale so often times if you're on them, YOU WILL FIND IT TOO!
2) This picky backs off of 1. When winter is nearing and spring is close, that is when you should purchases your winter garments (for the next year, and possibly a size larger than you'd normally get, because we know that we do agree that we can grow within a year right? Great!). These garments include but are not limited to hats, outerwear, jeans etc.
3) Set a budget when you shop. Many people say okay I got a $500 check today and all of my bills are paid and I'm going to splurge on some new fashions. Well here's the problem. With no budget and a large sum of money in your head, your going to BALL OUT. Your going to leave the mall with all this designer and have 3 bags. Two bags are going to have sweaters in them! Ha ha! If you don’t believe me try it and your going to be mad. If you have a check for $500 and you set a budget of $250 now your mind is going to budget and bargain for $250 or LESS. Now that wont always work for everyone, but these are tips that I have found and some clients have also found helps. Then you will find that you are leaving with far more than you came with. Now, your leaving with Money left over, a few outfits for this season and the next.!
I hope this helps! If not let me know, and I will give you more feedback.
